Outing supports active and veteran Military activities, making a significant impact by sending disabled veterans to Lourdes Shrine in France, repairing the Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial due to vandalism, and supporting the Philly and Bucks Counties Honor Flight, Star Initiative, and Warrior Rising programs.

Two Chrism Masses - Two Basilicas

The Calvert Province East Color Corps participated in both Cathedrals: the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Harrisburg, PA, on Monday, March 25th, and the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, PA., on Thursday, March 28th.


St Patrick's Dinner Dance

Thank you all for your help putting together a great night that everybody thoroughly enjoyed. I failed to announce that the raffle basket and door prize donations came from Peg and Al Perry, Rich and Rose Mazur, Herb and Marianne Kaemmer, Carlos Escudero by way of Norristown Council, and Tony and Linda Goreski—a nice bump for our fundraising efforts.
Al and Peg Perry, thank you for communicating with Lindingers about our menu and scheduling the Glenside Dancers. Carlos, thank you for negotiating with Kunda about the beverages and delivering them and for your help with 50-50. Tim, thank you for your help at the raffle table. Bill Stigerwalt, thank you for your meticulous coordination at registration. Special thanks for the talent and showmanship of the Glenside Irish Dancers.

Knights Salute The Battleship New Jersey

Knights from Calvert Provence East, New Jersey and New York participate in saluting the USS New Jersey as it leaves the Camden, NJ dock. It will travel 6 miles down stream for an over due refurbishing at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.


2024 Warriors to Lourdes Pilgrimage.

The Father Joseph C. Tomko Assembly 934 is supporting the travel and accommodations of a wounded Solder to attend the annual Warriors to Lourdes Pilgrimage.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has requested uniformed Knights to participate in the ‘Eucharistic Congress.’ The Gift of Finest Wheat: This is My Body Given Up for You. 9:00 AM Opening Mass Celebrant Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez. Rev. Joseph Shenosky is the Archdiocesan Coordinator for the Eucharistic Revival. This event was open to all.

The new officers of both the Fr. Joseph C. Tomko ASM and Archbishop Wood ASM will come together for their post-installation at St. Catherine of Siena to ring in the Columbian Year 2023 - 2024. The installation will start with a Mass. A reception with light refreshments will follow. All are welcome.

 We are invited to participate in this special Mass to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Czestochowa. The mass starts at 12:30 PM and should conclude by 2:00 PM. There is a lunch to follow, and they request the Honor Guard to participate in a procession at 3:30.  The guest Celebrant is a Bishop from Miami.  All Knights and their families are welcome.

The Fr. Tomko Assembly was very proud to see support from our various councils who participated in honoring the Pastor and Council Chaplin of the Mother of Divine Providence Church, King of Prussia, PA. The Knights stood guard both days with the farewell Mass conducted by Archbishop Pérez, his Auxiliary Bishops, priests, and deacons throughout the diocese of Philadelphia. Fr. Martin Born: September 28, 1956, Ordained: May 16, 1981, and Died: June 26, 2023.

St. Patrick’s Dinner/Dance

We just enjoyed our 9th annual St. Patrick’s Dinner/Dance.  

This dinner/dance has been a popular event each year and has been attended by family, friends of the Knights. It was open to the public and all were welcome to attend.

Irish music was by the Masked DeeJay, Beer & Wine were available and a few surprises made this event fun. A few snaps are shown below!


9th Annual Presidential Recitation Contest

This contest has been a well-received patriotic event each year and has been enjoyably attended by parents, friends, teachers, and principals. 5th to 8th-grade students give speeches from a raised podium directly in front of parents and friends. The following elementary and middle schools have participated: Holy Rosary Elementary, Living Bridges Home School, Penn Christian Academy, Visitation Elementary, Mater Dei, and East Norriton Middle School.  Special guest speaker, Mr. Joseph C. Gale, Montgomery County Commissioner. Topic: “Honing Speaking Skills and Leadership.”

World Congress of Catholic Nurses

- August 2, 2023

The World Congress of Catholic Nurses will be held August 2-4, 2022, at The National Shrine of our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. Mass celebrated by Vatican Cardinal Peter Turkson. He was a past president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace. The Mass was co-celebrated by Bishop Joseph L. Coffee, an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese for the Military Services. The Fr. Tomko Assembly assisted the Cardinal and Bishop escort into and from the Opening 9:00 AM Mass at the Shrine. Also shown are the Knights of St. Peter Claver.

Memorial Mass for Blessed

Rev. Fr. Michael J. McGivney

On Friday, August 13 a Memorial Mass was conducted by the Cathedral Pastor Rev. Father Dennis Gill for Blessed Fr. Michael McGivney, the founder of the Knights Of Columbus, which was held in the Chapel of the Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul. The Fr. Tomko Assembly was part of the Honor Guard for the occasion.

This outing supported veterans and community initiatives. It was a simple gathering of all golfers not just Knights. Anyone who wished to enjoy a day of golf joined us. It was a fun day to get together with refreshments after.

This years “Man Up Philly Conference” will be held at the Neumann University Mirenda Center, 1 Neumann Dr, Aston, PA 19014. The conference started at 7:30 am through 5:00 pm. A Mass concluded the conference with the Tomko Color Guard processing Archbishop Perez to the alteron the main stage.

Installation of new Archbishop Nelson J. Perez

The Archbishop was installed at a Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 1723 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.  The 2:00 pm Instilation Mass was streamed live at www.archphila.org, Vimeo, and EWTN.

This was an all hands on deck event. Fr. Gill, Rector of the Basilica wanted a STRONG Color Corps presence. All District Marshals from the Philadelphia area plus Knights Color Corps including members of the Father Tomko Assembly, participated.
